Hi Everyone,

My milestones so far are

Application received: August 23, 2013
AOR received: October 23, 2013
Fingerprints request: January 23, 2013
Additional documents (employment letter): March 20, 2014
Started Processing: March 26, 2014
Medicals results received: April 1, 2014
Request for RPRF and Payment made: April 1, 2014

There is no update since April 1. I'm just waiting patiently.

I have a questions for you guys. My employer has deputed me to Mexico in February this year. I'm concerned about how to send the passports from here to Canada when I finally receive the PPR. I read somewhere in the blog that CIC sends passports in North America, but then I have been told that Fedex Mexico doesn't ship passports out of country. Any suggestions here are highly appreciated. Thanks!

Once you get the PPR, why don't you take a 2-week vacation, go back to Canada, then get your passports stamped there? Is this doable?

There's some crazy designers out there :) Lock it, it's as simple as that. There's not a lot
of updates here anymore anyway... Some people have never heard of the phrase "sometimes less is more",
that's why it's all coloured and looking all fancy.

Thanks for the suggestion MenicMonday. Unfortunately, my employer is not going to give me a 2 week vacation. That's the issue. :(

You can request CIC to have passport stamped in Canadian Embassy in Mexico. And this request can be made after you receive the PPR.
Btw, what did you do after PPR?

Thanks for the advice. I'm still waiting for PPR. Medical results were received on April 1, 2014. It's been 2.5 months now without any update. :(

I'm so frustrated right now.......I was told that I can just do a loop around at peacebridge and they will give me PR but the officer refused it and said you have to exit Canada and go to US.

Now I have to wait another week since im very busy.

Anyone with landing experience can help me here please?

For what I know you have to make it to the US side and get your refusal notice in order
to complete the landing.

What do you need help with specifically? Didn't you follow the officer's advice?

All you had to do was go across to the US side, get an 'administrative refusal' at the border, turn around and come back. Or if you prefer, you could actually enter the US, do stuff over there and then come back, provided you have the visa.

Same Situation,

Medicals sent on April 06, 2014. After which, no response at all.
No idea what's taking so long as lot of requests where medicals were done after April 06 have received the PPR request already

Yes I guess Ill have to go to US now.

What do I have to tell the US border agents? Wouldn't they think why this person is trying to enter without visa?

thanks

Tell them you're flagpoling. They know what it means, write you a refusal and send you back to Canada, where
you can complete the landing.

1.We received your application for permanent residence on August 7, 2013.

2. We started processing your application on March 7, 2014.

We are also in the same boat. Initially my spouse's medical reports were missing. I followed up with the health branch and after several back and forth they said that they were finally able to locate her medical records around May 30th .
We are now waiting for ECAS to get updated to reflect medical received and also waiting for PPR and other updates.

Moving very very slow for us.
Patiently waiting
Finally the wait is over -- This morning ECAS changed to " 3. Medical results have been received." and around 11.11 pm EST received an email from CPC stating that we are "Ready For Visa - Prêt Pour Visa " and PASSPORT(S) REQUEST .
ECAS is still not updated and will probably get updated in the next batch update.

Question: Is there anyone here from the US that sent their passports to CPC-Ottawa Canada via courier for visas ?

Good luck to the others waiting and my advice to those waiting, if you see no change in status, please email CPC. I was patiently waiting for a few weeks after my medicals were done on March 8, 2014 and only when I contacted CPC in April when i did not see the status change, did they realize that they did not receive my spouse's medicals even though they were uploaded (e-med) by the doctor. CPC and Health branch searched for over 4 weeks and they finally found it and after that there was no response and I had to send an email and then finally ECAS got updated and Ready for VISA email came out.

I do appreciate support of all the seniors in the forum and also would like to call out the excellent support from the CPC-email desk.
I have had emailed them several times with missing Police clearance certificates sent to them but not received by the CIC office, medical records and they have been very prompt in responding to emails in 2-4 business days.
