do any one of you waiting for PPR request after MR's??
Did you submit additional docs such as PCC, updated their forms, etc.
coz if so then this could be a delay.

i submitted my spouse PCC and also updated my IMM5669 form. i also submitted my new born son's birth certificate.

I'm waiting for PPR after MR. I was not asked to submit any further documents. The only thing I sent after I sent my application (other than medicals) was my RPRF receipt after I was asked to make the payment.

Hi Toby,

When you applied for your GCMS notes, did you select the "Privacy Act" or the "Access to information act". The first one was free and the second one was $5. I selected the Privacy act.

Thanks.
free one if you reside in canada. $5 if youre outside.

Hi Readhp and almond juice....i am also in the same timeline...medicals done on 27th march..uploaded on 4th April....no PPR request...No change in ECAS as medical received....anybody else in the same situation
I went to my doctor's office last week and found out my result was uploaded on April 11 (25 days after ME was done). No MER or PPR yet. I guess I have to keep waiting. >_<

It was good that there was nothing wrong with my health though.

Hello everyone. Just noticed ECAS is showing "Decision Made" as of today for me.
Wanted to share my information and ask a couple of questions.

General information:
  • Application is under the CEC class and is an inland application.
  • I've lived & worked in Canada for the last 3 years under a NAFTA TN work visa (American citizen along with spouse).
  • Application is for both myself and my spouse (I am the primary).
  • We have a son who is a Canadian/American dual citizen (born in Toronto) and therefore not part of the application.

Timeline:
  • 2013-03-12 - Application submitted
  • 2013-04-16 - CIO Notification of incomplete application - CELPIP Exam results ~1 week too old :(
  • 2013-08-07 - Application re-submitted
  • 2013-11-10 - CIO Confirmation of Complete Application
  • 2014-03-11 - Request for Medical
  • 2014-03-17 - Request for RPRF (Accepted in Principle?)
  • 2014-04-10 - Medical completed (submitted via eMedical)
  • 2014-04-16 - Emailed CPC-CTD-Ottawa for confirmation of receipt of RPRF and Medical
  • 2014-04-17 - Email confirmation from CPC-CTD-Ottawa of receipt of RPRF and Medical
  • 2013-04-21 - Noticed ECAS had updated and is showing: Decision Made

ECAS Log:
  • We received your application for permanent residence on August 12, 2013.
  • We started processing your application on March 13, 2014.
  • Medical results have been received.
  • A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

So at this point, can I draw any conclusions about the status of my application?
It would seem unlikely anything in the medical would disqualify us.
Wife and I both are ~30 with no major health issues.
Security checks were all clear.

Reading around, I've heard a lot of people mention the Passport Request (PPR) coming next (assuming an approval outcome).
Does PPR still happen if it's an inland based application?
Seems weird to send off my passport and be without it since it contains my proof of legal status to be in the country.

Assuming acceptance, what would be the next steps in an inland based PR application?

Thanks!

It is kind of weird, isn't it. It's a fairly common process when you need a visa for a place to have to send your passport to their embassy. But as was mentioned, you're visa exempt and PPR doesn't apply to you.

sravi_12 & LPS,

Thanks for the information!

I didn't know certain nationalities bypassed PPR (is it all the visa exempt countries?).
Is the PPR then just so they can grant you the visa necessary to make the initial entry into Canada and become "landed"?

So I can assume what's next is either a mailed COPR (more likely) or a letter indicating denial (less likely)?
Assuming a COPR, I'm guessing I will then need to just drive down to Buffalo, exit & re-enter Canada?

Thanks again!

Exactly - if you don't usually require a visa to travel to Canada, you don't need one to land.

Yes, the COPR will just turn up in the mail, possibly sometime this week.

your decision is made means you passed! They must by law give you an opportunity to rectify any problems in the case before making final decision (example: if not enough experience they must email you and give you thirty days to prove you do have enough experience) so if you havnt got an email saying there is a problem there is no problem.congrats

On the contrary, people's applications have been summarily refused for insufficient work experience among other reasons.

But 'Decision Made' after the medical and RPRF requests is a good sign, because those requests usually indicate that the eligibility check has passed.

Is there anybody left who has not received MR? I guess I am the only unfortunate one...my lawyer has requested for CAIPS...how different is it from GCMS notes? Can anybody shed some light on this?
