I tried to find an answer but couldn't.

Should birth certificate/ national ID be certified, notarized or both?

In the checklist it states "If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the original version."

I called a certified translator and he explained to me that he can do 4 types of translations:

1. Normal
2. Certified
3. Notarized
4. Certified and notarized

As the way it is written in the checklist it is not clear if certified will suffice. The fee difference between 2 and 3 is around 100 dollars per document.

If anyone can help me here I would really appreciate it.

No, they are not in french/english, that is why I need a translation.

"As our Translators are Certified, this takes the place of Notarization. The only time notarization is required is if you are using your document overseas and the Consulate or government requires Certification and Notarization. "

Any thoughts? I'd like to think that as they make a lot of translations for this purposes they know what they are saying but this new information makes me wonder if they are terribly wrong.

Just to add I am submitting my application within Canada.

Just to add I am submitting my application within Canada.

That is right. If you are translating the document from a certified translator there is no need of an affidavit. Their seal and sign is enough. But if you are translating the documents from someone who is not licensed translator it requires an affidavit to be sworn in front of a notary/judge. But in any case you will have to submit a certified copy of the original birth certificate.

You can apply within 3 years of your canadian experience job, no matter where you are when you submit your application, back home, still at Canada or traveling around the world

So the people, who have the date filled across their name, have already completed the medical tests!! Strange!
So these guys will not receive medical request from the CIC? How long is medical results valid? And I think the results will be sent directly to the CIC. Please correct my if I am missing something here.

I am waiting for my AOR. What do you suggest me for medicals?

They are FAM applicants. Basically, FAM applicants must take a medical exam before they apply.

I'm afraid but I think that the sheet you and mrsalvaro have given for us is not suitable for us...
I guess the sheet is maintained for family class applicants.
Firstly, we CEC applicants don't take medical exams before our application filed.
Secondly, the sheet has some unnecessary columns for CEC applicants ; "CPC-M" is the office where FAM applicants should send their application documents to (We CEC applicants have to send our application to CIO-Sydney). "stage 1" means "an eligibility assessment for sponsors of FAM applicants" (FAM processing has 2 stages... one of them is for sponsors, another one is for applicants). Therefore, a column of "stage 1 AOR" isn't required for us. Sponsorship approval" as well.
Also, currently every CEC applications are assessed in CPP-Ottawa even if we request other vise office in our application document (IMM 0008 Generic Application Form for Canada)... although CEC seniors sent their application to various visa offices in the past.

No offense, but I suppose that separating CEC applicants and FAM applicants is better because we can avoid confusing or misunderstandings... because CEC processing times, process methods, and many others are different from FAM.

Could you fix the spreadsheet for CEC applicants?
