Can anyone know when will the application be transferred to Ottawa after AOR? How many days between AOR and the file transfer to Ottawa?

AOR initiates the file transfer. We don't know when the physical file gets there, or at least I don't know.
But I started communicating with CPP-O on the day I received the AOR.

I got a new passport after applying for PR and updated CIC with my new passport number and expiry date.

Exactly. Follow the instructions in the AOR email and if you don't have changes on your side, you don't need to
contact CIC.

Not yet, as it might take up to 20 days for them to respond.

can any one please tell me, when should be right month for us to check our status via GCMS notes. Should we do it in March/April 2014 about 6 months for our application?

Yes, 6-8 months is a good time to check.

Don't worry about that, as you don't need the AOR docyment itself for anything. THe only
important thing mentioned on that letter is your appluication number, and you'll also get that number from ECAS.

How can I get it from my ECAS?

Thought that was possible. Haven't really checked ECAS. Maybe email CPP-O and ask for the filenumber
or call the CIC hotline. They should be, after a few security questions, able to help you.

Hi Toby,
I didn't receive aor, but I can log in ECAS! In ECAS, my application number doesn't show on my file. Do I have to contact cic to get my application number? What should I do with the application number if I don't use it for apply BOWP? Do I have to have application number for upfront medical exam?

If you don't use it for your BOWP then you don't even need it
