august 2012 citizenship application

hi i would love to hear updates from hose who applied citizenship the same time as mine. heres my timeline:

Citizenship
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 28, 2012.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 28, 2012.

We started processing your application on January 29, 2013.

and also im wondering if the times i was away from canada like vacations after applying for citizenship will affect my application? after applying in august 2012, i went home in philippines for a vacation for 2 months in may 2013. im wondering if that will possibly give me an rq for my application? i wold love to hear from someone with the same situation. thanks!

We almost have the same timeline and story!

We applied on August 30, 2012, received on that same day, and they started processing our application on December 28, 2012. We haven't heard from them since. Did they get back to you re your application?

My timeline is almost same as you guys.
my time line

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 16, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on January 30, 2013.
Anyone knows when should I expect for the test ??

That would prolly depend on your local office. Some offices are quick in their process, esp in Ontario areas.

Ours is in Surrey, B.C., which usually would take 7-8 months from the time our documents were transferred to them, based from what I've read here. I called CIC yesterday to check the exact date our file was transferred and they said it was June 13, 2013. So I would be expecting to receive a notice anytime this month or next. They mentioned there is nothing unusual in our application, so it would just be a routine one or 25 months.
