Ours have been sent a week ago. We've send it with a tracking number and overnight.

I've had my medicals done on July 20. And we are going through Vienna, Austria.

We didn't hear from the CIC yet if they recieved the application. Do they normally send a confirmation?

Louie_ann, Can you add me in that spreadsheet also?

Good luck to all of us!!!!

Sure. Btw when was the exact date when you sent off your application? Good luck and welcome to the group! :)

Ours was sent on saturday the 4th of August.

Is it weird that I didn't hear from the CIC yet?

hahahha ;D you will not hear anything from CIC for next 2-3 months, i got first reply from CIC after 96 days. just forget about your application for next few months and keep yourself busy with other things. they will contact you, when they open your file after 3 months.
best of luck :)

in the best of worlds, you might get an AOR - acknowledgement of receipt - when they open your file, and later on the approval. BUT - a lot of people don't get AOR at all. It seems to be getting more systematic now for the applicants that sent their files in july, so maybe you will get lucky as well. But - no guarantee, so it's best to not think about it too much for the next 2 months at least! :-)

Good luck with your application ( and hello again Remrov, haven't seen you posting here for quite a while!).
best,
Sweden

Good choice! =)

Thank you =D Quick question though, for my profile info that shows up under where my avatar is suppose to be, I was going to update it to show that I sent the app but the only option is app filed, is that the same thing as sending it off or is that when CIC starts processing the sponsors stuff?

the custom is to put the date that it was received by CIC (according to the date it was delivered, confirmed by the post, fedex etc), so that you know "where in the queue" you are - and other applicants that have sent their application before or after you can have a look ... as we are all sending from different part of the world, it might take 2 days or 10 days to get there, so the date that really counts is when it arrived at CIC office.

Good luck with your application!

Aha, thank for your responses. I'm relieved now. I thought that when they recieved it they would immidiately send a conformation.

A familymember helped us sending the application. I was already back in the Netherlands when they did that. But the familymenber is on vacation now and she forgot to give us the tracking number. So I can't really check if it was recieved. But I'm sure they did.

Probably in september I will go to Canada again to visit my boyfriend. I hope it will be possible, because I feel really lonely actually.

I'm already studying French, and learning more about Quebec and MOntreal, that's fun.

Yeah, it is really anticlimactic. You get the app ready, you feel you can see the end in sight! You're all excited as you mail it off and then...! Wait for three months...

YAYYYY!! We have finally sent off our application this morning =D It weighed 5 pounds, haha! We sent it next day guranteed to make SURE it gets there, kind of expensive but I think it's worth it. Anyway, louie_ann you can update the spreadsheet with that bit of info the next time you go in to enter stuff =)

Again, best of luck to everyone still chipping away at their application!

I am very sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation. I wish you a fast and smooth process from here on out! =) Don't forget to stay positive.

Thanks Shylox!

Good luck! You're in the home stretch now, just keep plugging along and stay positive =)

Yay, I was hoping a thread for this month would start up!

I did my Meds June 30 and received our police report a week prior. We sent our application July 31 and it was received August 1st.

I'm worried about having to redo my medicals too... especially since they were so expensive here but I just don't want to have to be delayed for too long. I'm wondering, the second office receives the medicals (in my case CPP-O), are they also just stored there somewhere? Do they put a time limit as to how long they will store them before they purge them for any reason? Do they purge it at some point? Is it possible that they say they can't find my meds once my file is transfered? I tracked my meds after they told me they sent them so I know they have been received so I wonder if they only store them for a limited amount of time....

I know my police report probably wont be valid by the time my file is transfered-- we used a channeler to complete the application and are planning on sending out my fingerprints to the FBI next month so that we receive the results back around the time our application is transfered since I am sure they will request for another one.
