is there stil people waiting to get approved from aug 4th? and i sent my wifes application back to mississagua it wil be ther friday and they start it right away so how long before i hear something cuz im from the aug 4th application lol..

dont worry ayad.. maybe they will send it to ur vo after 3-5 days once they received.. cause i knew one applicant there applicant had been sent back then after 3 days received from cic it transfer to vo office.. so ur application is n priority...

Hi all I had a question about visiting my girlfriend. I am a US citizen living in the USA and she is in Quebec (she is sponsoring me as common-law partner) and I wanted to go visit her for 12 days and come back because I work and live in the US at the moment. I wanted to know if I need to bring anything when I cross into Canada besides my US passport? I don't want the immigration officer thinking I am moving there already. Our application was sent Aug 24 and she has not be approved as of yet.I'll cross driving my car.
(I've read topics on this in this website but it is still not clear to me as to what should I bring or expect)

Make sure you bring as many ties to the U.S. as possible. Lease, utility bills, paystub, bank statement, etc...
The more you have, the better.

Good that the duration has not increased. Another good thing is that they have gone ahead with 7 days

Hello Everyone,

I sent my husband's application on August 19 and they received it on August 22.

I just checked the CIC website and they're now working on applications received on August 15, 2011!

That makes me happy! =)

I just received an email that the sponsorship that filed on AUgust 9th , 2011 for my husband got approved and in process. So exciting that the first step is done and now the real wait begins! i was surprised that they sent me an email and not a letter like i read on other people's posts but non the less im happy first step is done . Good luck to everyone!
