I called this number 1-888-242‑2100 from inside Canada. ayad , are you in Canada? If you are, you should call or your partner should call. Call centre agent with whom I spoke, said that the email was sent to me but because I didn't receive email they will send it again in the next few days. Maybe is the same with you. At last you will feel much better when they tell you that you are approved

No, they have just my email, we decided that is better to give them just one. But today when I was speaking with the lady on the phone I tried to give her another email, but she told me that the computer system is adjusted just to have one email address.

Let's talk about something other than this awful wait time. What is everyone going to be doing once they're landed? Work, school, stay-at-home? Plans for children, buying a house, anything special?

maybe if my time to be with my hubby in canada. he send me to a french school.. maybe to be a housewife to him and help him little thing for his work by shredding papers(he always complain about lots paper work so i can imagine the cic doin) and make his coffee lol because his office its just on his house...and also consider to have 1st baby and i want it to be look like him than me ;D...maybe if im good already to talk to there language i will consider to find work too...maybe 3 years after

I am sure your letter is on your way by Canada post... your appli was received on Aug 4 if I am not mistaken ( very lazy to go back and read )

you should call them soon and you will get your good news soon !!!

As such I have never heard of anyone getting a rejection on sponsorship part unless its a gross disqualification based on social assistance or welfare!!!

Good day all,
I was calculating time and according to the CIC the first step is 70 days, which would put me about Nov. 1st give or take but they are working on applications from August 8th, that means by the time Nov. 3 comes around they will be working applications for August 20 (if they add six days like they have being doing). So for people who sent they're application late August won't her anything 'til mid-November, right? or am I wrong.

Also essex0227 can you put me on the list for August?
Sent my application August 19 and the received it August 24th

ayad are you PR holder or Canadian Citizen? I am PR and I was able to login today on CIC web site with my client number (number on pr card) and I can see there that my sponsorship app. was approved. Maybe you can try to login?

I have a questions: I can see two information there.

1.Sponsorship Application Status-Decision Made-Sponsorship-We received your application to sponsor xxx on August 5, 2011.
We started processing your application on October 14, 2011.We sent you a letter on October 14, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

2.Permanent Residence Application Status-Application Received-We received xxx's application for permanent residence on August 5, 2011.
Medical results have been received.

What does this mean? Are they consider it like two different applications there in Mississauga? Sponsorship App. and PR App?
Did they received medical results in Mississauga? I am asking because I was thinking that medical results are sent from Canada in London for Europe and than they send it to specific visa office (that`s what they told at the doctors office when my husband was on medical).
