forberta, actually I noticed that my file number got changed. below is the response from buffalo, and they had put my old number and new number which starts with "EP000*****" in the subject of email, but did not mention anything about the change. Now I am able to see my information on ECAS using the new number only.

has any experience it? my old file number starts with B and new one is "EP000*****"
does it mean the file got transferred to a new office?

reply from buffalo:
"Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete."

Thanks.

Please disregard the above message. I realized that File number(Starts with B) is different from Application number which starts with EP00...

I was able see my information on eCAS using the File number(Bxxx) but now I am able to find my information using the Application number(EP00xxx). looks like they are working on my file.

Thanks!

Got my PPR....

I have a question regarding photos, instructions say photo has to "Bear the date photo was taken". Does it mean we have to write the date behind the photo or should I get a photo where the date is automatically printed. Please advise.

Regards,

You had better take photos with date stamped at the back. Most places will stamp your photos with the date you take.

Is there anybody who also filed skilled worker category? Recently my application for skilled worker category was returned because I'm not eligible. I'm afraid it's gonna affect my AINP application later at CIC stage.

All,

I have received below email from CIC today morning.

"In order to expedite the processing of your application, your file has been sent to:

Canadian Consulate General
1251 Avenue of the Americas
Concourse Level
New York"

Has anyone know how long does NY consulate takes to process it?

Thanks!

Hi, Sri 19,

normally it will take another 1-1.5 month to finish the process according to other's case. By the way, is there any change in your e-cas? Is is still "Received on...."?
Good Luck.

Thanks!

Hi windor2000,

Congrats! It should be written in your PPR that if same day in-person stamping is done at Detroit Consulate or not. Becasue I've seen in people's PPR that there are OPTIONS mentioned by which you can have your VISA stamped (i.e. by mail, in person). If it's NOT written, then you should verify before going by contacting them dirrectly.

FYI, Detroit recently shut down same day stamping for Visitor Visa. Hence, it can be same for Immigrant Visa as well.
