Hello people. I am an October 21st, 2014 applicant.
Haven't heard anything after the first week of may when I submitted my medicals and paid the RPRF.
Any ideas when they are actually going to finish the process because it started at 9 months and now it's been 23 months.!!

give them a call on Monday and see how far along your application is. If you get an agent that tells you some generic bs, keep trying.

Had a talk this morning with call centre agent. Gave me until April 2017 to wait. Just wow...... :o :o >:(

did they tell you if your application is complete or not?? Or did you order GCMS notes.

Let's face it, we can't trust ANYTHING any CIC call centre person says. We've now heard everything from "any day now" to "sometime next year." The bottom line is they don't know a bloody thing and their guesses are probably as good as ours. It is all up to the officers handling our files if they ever feel like doing their jobs and finalizing our applications instead of tossing paper airplanes at each other all day.

If you see, I applied in Aug and they told me Feb , 2017. You applied in Sept so they said April 2017. Looks like they have push the deadline.. May be Aug applicant will get in Feb and March and Sep applicant in late March and early April. THIS IS INSANE!!!

Yes it's complete

I suggest you ignore any dates given by CIC CC. It is helping me stay calm and relaxed. If you stress yourself on those dates, you are going to be in a bad mood. Our PR will come when it is time; just have to be more patient. I 1000% agree it is tough to be patient. But nothing is controlled by you and me. We are all on same boat. So lets take a chill pill, sit back and relax. CEC PR will not stop our careers, lives and happiness. God bless and peace.

Hi All, I got married in July. I have applied in Oct-2014 under CIC. As this process is taking longer then expected, is it possible to add wife's name under my application so she might get PR with me?
I have already completed Medical and also paid RRPF.

Thanks,

I am not an expert but what my thinking is, they will ask for many documents or her medicals and all and it will delay the process. May be get your PR first as it is taking so long for all of us. But certainly update to CIC that you're married and provide any proof of marriage.

agreed!
You will be asked to provide proof of your wedding to make sure that you are really married
There is a whole lot of process involved

Having said that, I do not know if it's OK to not let them know of any changes to the application

agreed. Also make sure you let them know that you're married ASAP, you're suppose to let them know of any major changes in your life( marriage, address change, divorce ect.)
