Attention: Calling Nurses and Clinical Instructors

hello! I just got my PPR and I am now weighing my options as to where Im going to apply for registration as nurse. Guys, kindly share your registration/application experiences so that i can make comparison. I actually send my application for registration in saskatchewan last oct 2009 but until now there is no update nor any checklist, so I am thinking about applying for either Vancouver or Toronto or manitoba. I am willing to settle anywhere that will give me a better chance of getting a job and anywhere where registration is a lot easier (fatster and no bridging). Pls, pls share your thoughts to help me out on this. Thank you so, so much.

My co-CIs have sent their applications to Manitoba, Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Alberta. So far mukhang may SEC lahat. Nova Scotia BON ang pinakamabalis magreply and they even do follow-ups. Another friend who landed last year (Dec. 2009) sa Manitoba is doing her bridging right now. As well as a fellow CI who landed in Vancouver early this year.

Hi angel thanks for sharing. Can you put in details how long they waited from sending their docs up to the time they got their eligibility or SEC or bridging programs? I still cant decide eh. I am not sure about saskatchewan, on how long will i still have to wait so im serious about applying again in aother provice..

Hello again!

I just received an email from CRNBC today and they are asking me to complete a Substantially Equivalent Competency in the area of Medical/Surgical Nursing. It will expire 1 year from now. Attached also is a letter of invitation from the assessor to come to Canada to take the exam. Should I include this letter with my full documents?

Have just finished talking to a fellow CI. He said mabilis daw magprocess and Nova Scotia and New Brunswick (tama ba?). 3 na cla ang binigyan ng eligibility as soon as na kumpleto yung hiningi na documents ng Nova Scotia at New Brunswick BON. Dba PRC ang pinakamatagal magforward ng documents? SO it only took more than a month for their eligibility to arrive.

Pareho tayo, I was also required to do SEC assessment sa CRNBC. Ask ko lang yung mga friends mo na nag bridging program, are they also working at the same time? If so, anung work nila? thanks.

Hay na depress nga ako kahapon nang dahil sa SEC na yan. I checked the website andami ng exam may oral pa. Nakausap ko yung isang kasamahan ko na may visa na. Nagpa assess siya sa Ontario, British Columbia at Nova Scotia. So far ang NS pa lang ang nagreply at hindi na nagrequire ng SEC. Biglang eligible to take the CRNE na siya. Eh 5k lang magpa assess sa NS while sa BC almost 12k!

Angel, puwede kaya sa NS kahit na more than 1 yr na ielts? nag 1 year ako nung july 4...

Ang nakalagay lang sa English requirements nila eh band score not lower than 6.5 with speaking band score of 7 academic test. I am reading their site right now. Baka pwede ka Bubbles. Check out mo para hindi ka na mag exam ulit.

to everyone who has applied for assessment/registration in CRNBC:

CRNBC received my application and all other validations from PRC,employer and school first week of August. I haven't received any correspondence until now.

Would it be okay if i'll try to make a call and make a follow-up?thanks.
