Hi guys please I have a question.

I was checking the AIP site and I read this,

For teer 0,1,2,&3 job offers, the employer must be offering you a job that will last at least 1 year from the time you become a permanent resident.

I am currently in Canada and I have been working with my employer for the close to 1 year and the offer letter I used in applying will be expiring in Jan 2026 because it's currently a temporary position. According to the current timeline for the application process, my eight month should end in March 2025. My question is do we have anyone that are done or about to be done with his or her application processes with similar scenario? I just want to know if that statement speaks to my situation. Or please help me if I'm interpreting the statement wrongly. Thank you.

Hi AIP Applicants, any updates on your file? I applied for PR June 10, got AOR in September and BIL on September 11. No progress since then.
Hi did you apply inland or outland? And which province did you apply for? I applied for PR on June 13 but still waiting for AOR & BIL it's been almost 6 months now but no update.

Hi AIP Applicants, any updates on your files?
Timeline for Application Processing:
  • Submission Date: July 31, 2024
  • Acknowledgment of Receipt & Biometrics Instruction Letter: October 11, 2024
  • Biometrics and Medical (Upfront) Completed: October 16, 2024
  • Criminality Passed
Since October 16, 2024, there have been no updates. It has been about six months, and eligibility has not yet started. I requested office notes, which confirm that all stages are still in processing and align with what is shown on my online profile.
IRCC timeline showing an 8-month processing period, I don’t believe that will apply to my application based on the current pace.

It has been extremely slow for AIP, here is my timeline:
Submission date: march 19, 2024
AOR: may 29, 2024, criminality passed
ADR: October 17, 2024 and sent on october 24,
PAL: october 29, 2024 and eligibility passed
Info share passed and Background changed to "not applicable" on november 19, I called IRCC and was told that criminality is being processed (again) and security has not started. I have heard nothing since.
My application has being precessed for almost 10 months now, and it is taking longer than the 8 months shown. And it is not under conprehensive security screening according GCMS notes. It seems AIP is left behind when compared to others streams.
And I still have to wait for FD, P1, P2....

It’s incredibly frustrating to face such delays, especially when other streams like Express Entry seem to process much faster, with some applicants getting approvals in as little as three months. On the bright side, having your Eligibility passed is a positive step forward. However, the added challenge for applicants from certain countries undergoing comprehensive background checks makes the process feel even more unfair and inequitable.
