Hi everyone,
My husband is currently in Canada on a open work permit, He is currently permanently employed to a LIMA designated employer. his HR department has encouraged him to file for PR under the (AIPP) but we are not sure how to go about doing so. does anyone know how this program works.

Well, I think you first need to find
designated employers in the Atlantic Provinces. Depending on which AIP stream you apply through, your eligibility criteria vary.

However, you have to meet criteria regarding work experience, language proficiency, and education. Here are designated employers:

Newfoundland and Labrador Designated Employers
Nova Scotia Designated Employers
Prince Edward Island Designated Employers
New Brunswick Designated Employers

His current employer is a designated employer and ased on what I've read he does meet the work experience and education criteria and language requirements. However, on the application form it asked for the Province that has nominated him. Does he need to talk to someone from the city? Or is there application to be done for that nomination
