Atfer an ITA - Police Certificate??

Folks,

Please advise.

1. If we are currently living in Canada, do we need a Canadian police certificate (Criminal Record Check) for Permanent Residency application???

2.If yes, when should we get one?

3. Police Certificates (Multiple) (required). Does '(Multiple)' mean that police certificate from our country of origin and a Canadian police certificate?

Right now, I am gathering all the supporting documents required by the check list.

You dont need to get a canadian police check. You will need a police check from any country you have visited for more that 6 months.

Could you please clarify it little bit? I believe lots of folks get confused too since their wording on IRCC is bit ambiguous.

It's saying that if you need more than one police certificate you should upload multiple ones in the same file.

If you only need one police check from your home country, just upload that one.

Hello every one. I'm a Nigerian and i've lived there since birth. About 9 months i got a job transfer from Nigeria to Kenya and have been living there ever since. I got an ITA recently and police certificate from Nigeria 3 days ago. The certificate will expire in April, 2017 but I have to make an emergency business trip to Nigeria in 4 days time for about a week. Do i need another Police certificate from Nigeria when i gets back to Kenya from business trip/visit?
