Hello everybody,
I would like to ask if a Syrian married to American (the Syrian does not and cannot apply for a green card) and applied for asylum from inside Canada will they be accepted? If yes, what will be the case or the sitiuation for the American spouse?
Will the spouse be on the same case as a family or seperate?
Would there be any risk of the family being seperated?

Thanks in advance

I think you should post your question on USA immigration forum, not Canada one.

Why can't they apply for a green card or some form of family sponsorship?
Thank you for your response, I have explained the situation .. that they do not want to live in the US and the Syrian spouse doesn't want to apply for the green card... for a personal issues.

I would appreciate a clear answer regarding the case in Canada, suppose a Syrian married to non-American, or even Europian, how will the Canadian government deal with the non-Syrian spouse? Will they be under one case as a family or seperate? This is the exact guestion regardless of other options that are already taken into the consideration.

Thank you

Asylum claim will be difficult to prove with an American spouse.

If you have further questions you should be posting them to the Refugee / Asylum section of the forum. You're posting in the wrong section right now.

Thank you for your response, actually, the green card is not an option, and nobody helped with a sponsership ... everybody assume that since there is a foriegn spouse then the issue "may be rejected".

My idea is that will will happen to the non-Syrian spouse? Will they be seperated or they will be together in one case? There is no way that the Syrian can go to the spouse country.

Thank you

Once again, you're posting in the wrong section of the forum. You need to move over to the Refugee / Asylum section of the forum.
