Asylum claimant while dual citizen

Hello Everyone
i have some questions regarding my case I did lot search but came here without any answer to my question
I am dual citizen means I hold Iraqi and German passport currently working in Iraq I want claim asylum in Canada my question is would my German citizenship have any effect on my eligibility to claim asylum ? I want claim asylum as Iraqi I was born in Iraq and raised there but naturalised citizen of Germany :Hence have never claimed any where asylum and being German citizen I can travel without visa to Canada I don't want lie or make false statement I am genuine person and on my arrival in Canada will say the same but your ideas and suggestion will help me a lot

Of course your German citizenship would impact your asylum claim. If you don't want to live in Iraq, you can easily live in Germany (or for that matter any other EU country).

Asylum is meant for real refugees who have no other place to live - not people who are just attempting to use the program to find a short cut to immigrating to Canada.

Don't bother claiming refugee status in Canada. You don't qualify and your claim will be refused.

Just out of curiosity, how did you acquire your German Citizenship if you were born in Iraq and actually living in Iraq? Are any of your 2 or both of your parents German?

OP said that he/she is a naturalized German citizen. That means that he/she obtained German citizenship through immigration somehow.
