Assessment of Sponsorship deadline

So I sent in my application on Friday February the 27th and it was received on Monday March the 2nd, I like to know when do I start counting do I start to count from the day it was received or do I start to count from March 17 which is currently written on the website that there working on those applications now http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp and the wait time is 56 days at the time I sent the application the wait time was 64 days and they were working on applications around February 15 at that time I sent it so do I apply under the 64 days processing time or the 56 days as my application was received between the two dates.

I hope I was clear on what I meant all I need to know is when do I start counting from the date received or from the time they start working the applications? Another thing is I heard if you contact them too much they will delay your file and put it behind the older I haven't contacted them as they say only call after the processing times if it doesn't come out so yah please let me know how that deadline for the assessment works and when do I start counting?

You need to start counting from March 2nd (+ 3 or 4 days, because it takes a few days from the mail room to officer's desk when the file is first entered into system).

No, your file will not be delayed if you call too much, but please don't call too much anyway. Its not good for anybody, neither yourself (causes stress), nor others as they will just start giving out generic replies instead of actually caring about us. People before you already did call too much. End result is that they made the call center automated system so difficult that you cannot reach a human representative easily any more.

Is it normal that I am not able to check the spousal sponsorship status online? The processing time is not over yet but a few more days or a week from now should be completed hopefully, also when checking the client application service does it matter if I use one way or should I try other ways too; currently I just enter in the receipt number(IMM 5401) is that sufficient or would it be helpful to try other lookups such as client id number, permanent resident card number and so forth?

So I can call them once the processing times are up if I don't see a status online, I don't tend to phone too much anyway as not to annoy anyone but just a question it scared me when someone said they heard that they take the file and just slip it behind the others hopefully all will be online soon.

Yes it's normal at least until you (the sponsor) is assigned a UCI #.

Your app was received March 2nd and they are already processing March 17th, so you are already 2 weeks past the posted processing time and should definitely be calling.

The only processing time that is applies is the one that is posted. You are not subject to an older processing time just because that was the one posted when you applied.

Processing times are calendar days, NOT just business days. Every day is counted.

Oh okay so my mistake, I just noticed they mailed in to my house on may 11 but its not here yet and someone told me you get it in the mail so is that any indication that they may have refusedÉ

Assuming you saw this on ECAS, that is most likely Sponsor Approval. No one on this forum can tell you anything about your app. You really need to just call CIC.
