Hi, I just received the following update on my online application portal after 10 months of silence. My question is regarding the PCC requirement. Could somebody clarifying what they are asking? I uploaded PCC from India and USA (my current country of residence) during my initial application already. Are they asking to get a new current PCC for both India and USA ??? The language is unclear. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I have to submit all these PCC documents for primary and secondary applicants, even though I submitted them the first time.

We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents:

1. Schedule A: Please provide a fully updated and completed Schedule A. If a section does not apply to you, please enter "none" as per the instructions provided on the form. Please ensure there are no gaps in time.

2. Travel History: A separate and newly completed Supplementary Travel Information form (IMM 5562) bearing an original signature. Include all trips: tourism, business, training etc. taken outside your country of origin or of residence. Please note that you must provide details since the age of 18 or the past 10 years.

3. Police certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate. Please provide a newly issued police certificate from current your country of residence. This is the link for USA: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ce/police-certificates/how/united-states.html

That is a total bullshit.
No idea what do they want.
Seems like they want new PPC from both countries.
Although, I believe if you already provided one from Indian and did not go there after-just write them LOe and say you provided it already. Or better attach it again.

If it is easy to get a new USA ppc just get it and submit with the old one from India(if you did not visit India since)

Please login to your account and check the document section. it should show which PCC is required. You would be seeing the red asterix (*) under required document section. :)

Good to know that they started processing US based applications.

Exactly the language is so unclear!! Getting USA PCC is no problem but India's is a pain. Was a pain the first time too. I have not traveled outside USA since receiving the Acknowledgment of Submission (AOS) from the Canada immigration.

haha... Wish it was that clear. your idea was good though. but in the document section there is one option to upload PCC and it says "Police Certificate" No where its mentioned which country.

Does anyone here know how to contact the Immigration services? I really want to clarify it from them if they need India PCC or not? Its a lot of effort and wait time to obtain that during the pandemic times.

“Please provide a newly issued police certificate from current your country of residence. This is the link for USA:”

Sounds pretty straightforward, assuming that is the exact wording of the request you received.

Yes thats the exact wording I copied and pasted.
What confused me is why they mentioned "From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate. ".
“Please provide a newly issued police certificate from current your country of residence. This is the link for USA:” clearly says USA is needed and that part is clear to me. My confusion is regarding the resubmission of a new PCC from India.

okay.. liked the sarcasm. However, that reply was from someone who personally seen this and applied. Good luck to you! PERIOD

Did not mean to offend you. I was pointing mainly towards lack of clarity on the CIC website. In fact your idea to double check this in the documents list was a good one.
