Hi guys,

The imigration lawyer has told me that in order to know the status of PR application I can ask MP for help. Is that true? As I tried to email my VO about status of my PR but they never got back to me. I am on 15 months and still waiting....

yes you can make appontment with an assisatnt of your MP most likely Only Assistant will attend you tell her everything and they would need your client id (PR CARD NO.)
 
thank you! I just called and they said because it's withing processing times they would not be able to help me...
 
Ohh but they have to help you out may be only when your file is not getting processed as other people but still after one month try again

I did the same in April, after they contacted the VO in L.A., 2 weeks later, i received a request to send them the police certificates...

Yes, actually they received my application on February 2011, in Buffalo and has been transfered to LA.(and sorry, that was'nt in April, it was on January). At this moment i got worried, cause i lost my employment in January due the closure of the buisness i worked for. I wanted to know how far my application is... Since i've sended them my police certificates on February 2012, i did'nt hear anything...I'ts been almost 18 months total now, and i really hope to get a letter from them soon to send my passport, since my curent work permit is only valid until october 15..
