I got an email from CIC asking me to provide 2 supporting documents. In the email, it says if I have a CIC online account, I should upload the documents through my online account. However, when I logged on to my account, under the "Supporting Documents" section, I saw only one document name is listed there, another one is missing.

Did anyone have the similar situation? How did you upload a document which is asked by CIC but not shown in my CIC online account? Should I scan both documents in a single pdf or word file and upload them through the slot for the document which is displayed in my account? Or through the optional slot for the "letter of explanation"? If I call CIC, is the representative able to have the missing slot added?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I suggest you do both scenarios and cross reference each document to the other. In other words, in your letter of explanation indicate that it did not seem clear to you how to do what they are asking so you have done it 2 ways - and in the document that you can see they are asking for, include the same explanation at the beginning of the document.

I would combine documents into a single pdf. I did this for my step-children's TRVs and they were all approved. I actually had to cross reference several documents for all 3 of them, so some of the information was duplicated/overlapped but I would rather that then the possibility of leaving "any" stone unturned with immigration.
