Asked for study permit reissue

I was previously approved for a student visa for May intake but I decided to not go and stay back in my country. Later, I decided to go to a different University for Jan intake and got accepted. I emailed CIC and gave them all the reasoning they asked for and emailed them new offer letter. Later, they replied to me by saying that I need to send my passport via nearby Visa application center so that they could cancel my previous study permit and reissue a new permit. This is exactly what their email says:-

"Dear Sir,


Thank you for your email.


We will cancel your current study permit.


You will need to submit your passport to the nearest VAC office and pay the corresponding service fee so that we can re-issue a new permit."

Can anyone suggest me what should I do next ? Do I just submit the passport or do I require any additional documents? What did they mean by reissue? Do I have to reapply from scratch? Please help me out!

The email is self explanatory. Submit your passport to VAC, call the nearest VAC and ask them what documentation the need to be reissue another study permit. No, you don't need to start from scratch. The will give you a new study permit with a new school details and expiring.

Yes I asked whether they require any other documents or not and they said that I only need to send passport and copy of the email. I just needed some opinions to reduce some of the stress I have been taking recently because of all the worries on my mind. I submitted the things that are asked and hopefully will get a positive answer from CIC soon. I will post updates so that anyone going through my situation might receive some help in the future.

Since u alrdy submitted ur documents to cic when u first applied it will remain with cic even when you apply for citizenship dnt wry jusy submit passport
