Hi Asivad and Seniors

I have already submitted my application for PR. Just want to check
in proof of means of financial support. I have show 2 banks one which is my main
savings account in Dubai which has sufficient balance as per CIC requirements and also which
shows my last 6 month balance. There is no change in this bank account and I will make sure there will be
no change in coming 6 months time as well

Secondly I have show my fixed deposit in india. There were 4 fixed deposit which I was having while submitting application. Now because of some emergency I withdraw one FD and used it. In this situation do I need to inform CIC. As I said earlier I have just shown CIC as a matter of my personal interest that I have fixed deposit as well. But my main proof of funds are from first bank which is in Dubai and that bank balance is still the same which I committed to CIC.

Please help.

Thanks

It's your money, you neither need CIC's permission to spend it nor do you need to inform them about it. Just ensure that you stay north of the required funds situation throughout the process, across one or all accounts.

Thanks. My only worry is what If CIC calls Indian bank and ask details about 4 FD. Then bank says instead of 4 now he got only 3 FD. So it should not have any adverse effect.

Don't think CIC will do that because when i had applied for Study permit in 2012 i had an FD shown as well as liquid cash shown in another account. I had to withdraw my FD but i got the study permit in 15 days. I think as long as you have the sufficient funds you will be fine....

CIC doesn't call banks and banks are unlikely to give any information about your finances to any 3rd party unless you authorize them to do so. The best they can do is confirm the validity, legitimacy and authenticity of all information that you would have submitted along with your application as on the date in the past.

I have a quick query. I'm currently in the EE POOL and I applied for NSNP last September. I currently have a required amount 12,000 CAD on my old bank since December 2014. Now, I'm planning to open a new one on the bank near my home and transfer some of the amount. Do you think this will be a problem and subject to rejection by CIC provided that I can give a bank statement from old and new bank anytime? Btw, In the pool since Jan 2015. And the new account was opened last September only. Thanks!!

Thumbs Up!! Asivad Anac
