My bank did not include in the letter the time when my account was opened? Will this matter?
Thanks!

If you've provided 6 months bank statements, not a problem.

I joined a new job in October 2015 and have a salary account with CITI bank. As this is just 3 months old, can I still use this account to show POFs? (My father would transfer the money to me).

I do have another ICICI account, which is 2 years old and I am not really using it lately.

Should I use the CITI or ICICI?

Thanks.
Age of the account is not a factor - you can choose either of those. What is critical is to prove that the funds aren't borrowed.

Why I am asking is because everyone is talking about the 6 month statement. Seems like the age doesn't matter then. Thanks.

I am hoping to go through the gift deed route. Yet, to find the exact steps on how to do the fixed deposit and gift deed thing.

If you're not being invited under CEC, yes.
