Hello
I am enrolled in a three year advance diploma in Ontario. I came here on 19th Sept. 2015 and it happened like I don't like the college location. Even the course doesn't suit me.
I have applied for Bachelor of applied technology in Petroleum engineering in Calgary that starts from Jan 2015.
If I drop my college right away and move to Calgary, will I be putting myself into some immigration issues?
Will I loose my status as student because it will be more than 90 days of not attending any institution as my new college starts from Jan 5 2015?

Thanks

Your study permit will become invalid 90 days after you stop studying per the new regulations:

So yes - it's going to be a problem if you're not attending school for more than 90 days.

Hi, scylla,
i would like to know that my classes has been start from 28-sept i am still waiting for my visa, what if my visa come late ? i have Request for the deferral letter from uni, i will not able to attend university what i can do in that situation ?

Thank you Scylla for your immediate response.

I mean If I drop my college at the end of October 2014 and I have another college starting on jan 2015t, it will be only 60 days. That means I will be eligible to do that right?
And also my friend is advising me to take 3 month of some short courses like French language and after than can be enrolled in college.
Is that true?
