As a Temp Worker, can I still do contract work for US Companies?

I had a question regarding the Temporary Workers Visa. Some back story: I have a Visa which is tied to a company, meaning if I go work at another company, I would have to get a new one; my question is the following: on this visa, am I allowed to do work remotely for another company that is NOT in Canada? I'm still working in Canada, and was wondering if there are any implications with doing contract work for a company back home in the US, essentially in my spare time. I would not physically work there, just remotely.

No issues with that. The restriction only applies to employers in Canada. However, if you are getting legally paid in Canada (transferred to your account) you have to show that income and pay tax accordingly
