You can try to apply for a TRV for them but the probability that it will be refused is 99.99% due to your status as refugee. Just to be clear, it is not a problem. You chose not to apply for TRVs for them so that your TRVs will be approved as you used your children as your strong ties to India. This is a consequence of an asylum application.

You and your wife should prepare yourselves to not be able to see your children for around 4 years or even more. Good luck.

Unfortunately there really aren't any other options. As said above, the only way they can come to Canada at this time is by getting approved TRVs. However the TRVs are pretty much guaranteed to be refused since you and your wife have claimed asylum. If you want to move ahead with the refugee claim, you unfortunately need to be prepared to be separated from your children for several years.

The question that needs to be answered is why would you think your children would be allowed into Canada when you applied for asylum . THEY were the reason you were issued a TRV to visit Canada , they are the reason you were to return to India . So basically you committed misrepresentation in applying for your TRV.
As mentioned above the chances on the Government approving a TRV for your children to come to Canada to help you in your case, is basically slim to none
I would not get your hopes up

Unfortunately family separation is very common with asylum seeking. Due to the volume of applicants the separation times can be many years and that is if your asylum claim gets approved on the first hearing. I would meet with your lawyer and discuss your chances of getting asylum. Getting asylum from India can be difficult. Have you tried to relocate within India because if you haven’t that will be one of the issues.
