Hello all, I recently received confirmation of my permanent residence and am awaiting my pr card. In the meantime, my Travel Document is about to expire and I would like to renew it.

I would just like to double check that as a PR, I should get a Travel Document.

Thank you for your help in advance,
D

Until you get a Canadian passport you need an RTD to travel.

Yes indeed it is better to get RTD and with PR you will have validation of 5 years in RTD. RTD is the best option to travel, stay away from using ur home country passport. Good luck
