Hi there,

I was an international student studying in Manitoba and then got a permanent job and worked full-time in Manitoba for 2 yrs after graduated. I recently received my PR through MPNP International Student Stream. My total years of staying in Manitoba was 3 yrs.

Now I lost my job ,as my boss sold the business. He applied EI for me .but I need the job .I don't want to take EI and stay at home.It will make me weak and lose hope.I took classes to improve my English and I post my resume on job bank .However ,nobody give me a call .a week ago,my friend in Mississauga ,ON called that she would leave the position for bearing the baby ,and she won't be back to work shortly, she can introduce me to her company to take her position.I want to the the opportunity if i can't find job in Manitoba.i don't have a car and my back is hurt last year ,and i don't want to take the heavy labour job.
My question is: if I move to Mississauga to work now (stayed in Manitoba 5 months after I became a landed PR), will it affect my future PR renewing? Or affect my application to become a citizen?

Or do I have to stay in Manitoba for a certain length of time before I can move to another province? There is no such clear obligation for International Student Stream (only that you intend to live and work in Manitoba, but intention can change right?)

Greatly appreciated if you could answer my question or any input!
Thank you!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you stayed in Manitoba for 5 months after landing as a PR and a long time before that, I don't see any risk to you for leaving. You intended to stay in Manitoba when you landed and it is not your fault that you lost your job and can't find another.

The charter of rights and freedoms states that a PR is free to live and work in any province and there is no condition on your PR saying that you can't move and you never signed up for any minimum amount of time you must stay in MB after your landing.
