Friends, if I need to land as a PR to complete the formalities, what travel purpose should I select for ArriveCAN? Is it discretionary/optional travel?

In addition, I have a bank account in Canada already with money more than 13K per proof of fund requirements. Do I need to bring any cash? I do not plan to bring any cash actually.

For the first question it is a mandatory travel what I know, and for the second question I think if you have enough funds then you don't need any cash but you have to take proof of that fund with you while traveling.

Thanks for the reply. There is no mandatory travel option but here are the list:
  • Canadian citizens and others with a right to entry
  • Work/Employment or essential travel
  • Discretionary/optional travel
  • Study
  • Compassionate entry
  • Family reunification
  • Other
And for the fund, what do you mean the fund with me while travelling? If my fund proof is from a bank outside of Canada, is that ok?

A landing PR would count on the first item: "others with a right to entry"

Fund proof from a bank outside of Canada, or you have your funds in a bank in Canada in your first post? What is it really?

Regardless of where the bank is, however, proof of funds = bank certificate or even a bank statement (online banking, etc.)
