Arrival questions.

I posted a few days back inquiring about Housing - All's been solved

I went to the Buffalo, NY Office today and was "Approved" for my student visa - though I wasn't issued my student visa at the time. I received a letter, which I'm supposed to provide when I arrive in Canada, and further steps are to be taken, then.

I start classes on May 5th 2010 - I live about three hours away from the Canadian border - and I have to go up to the school early next month to finalize all my enrollment fees / etc.

My questions are:
When should I go to the border to present my "Approval letter" to finalize the student visa. Should I wait until I'm able to move there and get started, or can I get the Student Visa in advance, while still waiting to relocate?
When am I allowed to relocate from the States to Canada - I remember reading somewhere that you are not allowed to move until one month prior to your schooling start date - but I can't seem to find that same information again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just attempting to keep this thread alive - I've been doing a ton of reading, and its still unclear as to what i need to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.
