My application was approved and I'm going to Canada soon. I know that I will need to get PR Card.

It says on CIC website: "If you are applying to immigrate to Canada, you do not need to apply for a card using the process on this page. Your Permanent Resident Card will be issued to you as part of the immigration process".

What should I do now? Do I need to collect any documents, photos to apply for the card or it's ready and I'm gonna get it after arrival?

Those who already landed please describe the process of arrival and getting permanent resident card.

Thanks in advance.

The entire process is explained on CIC web site, have a look, you need to apply for it in Canada and recieve it in person.

You don't have to do anything. Just present your Passport and COPR Form (that you got back from CHC office with stamped passport) at the immigration section. They will take some info from you (address in canada) and tell you that your PR card will be delivered on that address in a month. That's it.

Thanks a lot guys!

Do you know whether I can open a PO box in Canada and provide it to them so they could send the PR Card to my PO box? If not, are there may be lawyers whose address I can use to get my card (of cause I'm gonna pay them)?

blueboy, you must be landed already.
1)Could you tell me what else I should be prepared for going to Canada?
2)How did you find an apartment in Canada?
3)Did you find a job after arrival?

Thanks

Clika,

Unfortunately u cannot use a PO Box address for getting your PR cards. U can use one of the 'short stay' accommodation's address for the same though. If u have a friend/relative, that'd be the best.

2. Short stay accommodations: These 2 are good. Their address could also be used for the PR cards...

Hope that helps.
