Hello I am trying to land in Canada as a skilled worker using AE...I recently got a email with a letter from my agency stating that HRSDC have received my application for the AEO. In the letter they asked for some income tax returns, that is for the employer to present....With that said...What is the next step from here regarding the process...

;)
thank you

You will get your AE approved, after which you need to send your full application to CIO, which will further be sent to your local VO. Its a long process though...........

thank you for your reply ;)...How long does it take for the AE to be approved? and you said a long process at the end...am i looking at basically 2 years or less? :-[

AE approval takes around 5-6 months. Yup, the process can take 2 years or less depending on your VO.

All the Best!!!!!

Got word that it got approved ;D ;D ;D....Now im guessing is the really long part...PR application part..
Giving thanks everyday... ;)

Congrats.......... Depending on your Visa Office it should take a year to get PR from now on.

Application sent in Oct, 2012...How long does it usually take for them to acknowledge that they have received application?

Courier service says it was received Oct 28th 2012.

It will take anywhere between and month and a half to 2 months before you receive an email (PER / AOR) from CIO sydney office that they have done a positive eligibility review (given they don't find any issues with your application). What is your visa office?

Indeed few employers will hold a job open for that long waiting for someone to be able to start work. Even 12 months is stretching it.

Urgo FSW2 with LMO/TWP is by far the more common and popular option than AOE.
