I have applied under FSW 1 at Buffalo. But I am also in process of getting a job in Toronto.

Just wondering, if at a later point of time I can add these documents.??

I am little confused on this:
as requirement states

Factor 5 Arranged employment (maximum 10 points)
Determine your points based on the chart below:
If...

You do not currently have a work permit and you do not intend to work in Canada before you have been issued a permanent resident visa.
As i do intend to join it on a work permit!!!

You have a full-time job offer that has been confirmed by Human Resources Development Canada (HRSDC);

Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if your application is successful.

You meet all required Canadian licensing or regulatory standards associated with the job.
Note:

You cannot arrange for an HRSDC confirmation. Your employer must do this.

HRSDC will only confirm job offers for occupations listed in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the NOC.

Can anybody gives his or her opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Arranged Employment

Looks to me like you can not get points for job offer if you are already in Canada. If you need the points, maybe you need to get your employer to give you an AEO to apply for FSW before you arrange your work permit with him.

Okay, Let me make myself clear.

As of now I have been notified by Nova Scotia to furnish full application to Buffalo.

However I am also in the process of getting an employment offer in Toronto. As of now I have 82 points (assuming 16 for language).
So my question is can i claim extra 10 points for the arranged employment with valid LMO to make it to a total of 82+10=92

Please note I am planning to submit full application in April. But I will get this offer letter with LMO sometime in June. So I would like to know if can get these 10 points as well.

I intend to join this firm in July on a valid work permit. Currently I am in US on a L1b visa which is valid till feb 2011.

Any insightful information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

Don't bother with it if you don't need the points. They will not put you ahead of the line or process your file faster just because you have more points than you need.

Leon this is what I found out on service canada's website.

So I think I can forward my LMO and WP once they are processed?

Based on the information on this website, I think it would be considered as a arranged employment provided my prospective employer supports this with a letter. It also helps in expediting the process if one has a arranged employment offer!!!

Can anybody second this opinion.

Yeah, I found it also here; http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG72.asp pretty far down on the page, factor 5. If you are already working in Canada on a work permit when you apply for FSW, you will get points for arranged employment with a letter from your employer.

I still don't know why you are bothering with this though if you already have enough points. They will not process your application faster if you have 92 points instead of 82.

Application processing times are shorter for Category 2!!! ie if you have an arranged employment. So I am planning to forward LMO, with arranged employment letter (support letter) from my prospective employer.

Buffalo does not fast track applications with arranged employment. Your processing time will be the same as any regular FSW application. I applied on September 2008 with arranged employment and my flie is still on the pile to be reviewed for processing.
