Hi all, I'm applying for a visitor record for me and my mother because we have to extend our stay in Canada due to COVID-19. We entry Canada as visitors. Now I'm filling the question list and have 2 questions:
"1. Are you accompanying a family member who has status in Canada?" Should I answer yes? Because I come here with my mother and both of us as visitors. Does my mother count for a "family member"?

"2. Do you want to submit an application for a family member? " Should I answer yes? I want to submit her application (1 for each) under my IRCC account.

Could someone help me? Thank you!

1. The answer is no, visitors don’t have status.
2. If you are an adult you must have separate accounts. You already applied so should have your individual accounts already.

Have you checked that there are no flights to your home country? There are still flights departing.

I am applying my mother visitor visa extension. I am on work permit and applied for permanent residency.. what i have to select YES OR NO.. Are you accompanying a family member who has status in canada.?
1- accompanying family member means are you staying with family member who is already in canada on visitor, worker or student.
2- accompanying family member: spouse, common law partner, dependent child or grand child.. accompanying family member are including on the application..

Hi, I'm applying for my university study permit while holding the Canadian high school study permit. I'm confused with the question too ---"Are you accompanying a family member who has status in Canada? " coz my parents are waiting for their fina decision of PR now and my mother is in Canada holding TRV. Does that mean I'm accompanying her? should I choose "Yes" as the answer? Thanks!
