Are VO's looking for work experience related to field of study??

My application has been delayed for the same reason. The VO has objected that I do not meet the employment requirements for the NOC code I used. It says that I do not have the required education for that NOC code.

As long as it makes sense. I think if you studied cook at school and after graduation you have a job as a lawyer, it certainley makes no sense. On the other hand, ask what the Presidents of America studied at school, I doubt that they have studied "becoming president 101" at Univerisity.

I studied engineering but one of the NOC codes I used required a masters degree. It says under the NOC code that "usually" a masters degree in economics is required. So I dont know how strict that requirement is because it says the word "usually".

If that is the only reason they are holding your file, I donot think there will be any problem.

yeah, hopefully man, there wont be any problem. The wait is just getting so painful.
