Do i need to obtain transcripts for my spouse as well, which is sealed in uni's envelope or even the notorised transcripts would be fine for spouse??

Yes, you have two options:
1) Original + Notorized Copies send to Embassy
2) University Sealed Envelope + Notorized Copies send to Embassy (best option)

If you wanna make your case more presentable you should send original transcripts of your wife in university sealed envelope.
