Hi guys,

I have a simple question that need answer.
Are Outland office still working with papers or it's all digital now.

When I call CIC in Canada, they have everything digital until it when out to the VO.

After that, CIC dont have any idea what happen to my process and cannot help me.

I saw 5-7 month process for simple case, 9-10 month for red flag case for the same VO.

I ordered my GCMS notes and it says appear bonafide, recommend wav and yet, it' has been 13 month.

Is my process lost in the dirt at somebody's desk?

This is a little bit concerning for me as nobody can help me.

I contact my MP and he can only see what's in the Ecas and Gckey account.

I really dont know what to do because all requested files are there, just waiting for BG check and DM.

Last contact is november 14, 2017.

VO works with paper files to the best of my knowledge.

Hard to believe I know, but as at a couple of months ago, certainly LVO were still working with paper. I know this because on another forum, a contributor got a letter from Mississauga saying 'sorry, but your application pack has somehow been mislaid between Mississauga and London' - obviously this wouldn't happen if it was digitised.

The happy ending to this was that about 10 days later, after the frantic applicant had scraped together most of a new pack, they got in touch agaon to say that the courier company they use had found the original papers.

It is just so hard for me to believe that in this day and age they are not using image and workflow, which came years ago the financial institutions I used to work for.

No. Way. I would never have thought it was still all/some hard copy processing! That's insane! How is that even efficient!?

What are they gonna do next..send me a telegram to confirm my PR!?
