What other documentation are you talking about? Just curious.
well aside from what rjesomme said, the letters from friends/family are required and at least 2 have to be notarized; for the 1 year cohabitation all the sharade abt common lease, common bank accounts, utility bills coming to both to the same address so on; u don't need to have everything but as more u have as better it is i think; in some places is easier to have all that, in others not so much; hence the more documents and explanatory letters proving the same thing

and yeah for those who had long distance relationship for some time the chat/email/sms/skype logs can be very long and if u also want to show some selection then u need a lot of patience and caffeine??? and yeah the phone bills too (if u want to keep the originals)

We applied as common-law and had issues, but our application was completed in less than a year. We did not get married right away, as we wanted BOTH sides of our families to be at our ceremony. With the visa requirement for Mexicans, it would have been extremely difficult financially for my husband's side of his family to come to Canada, so we waited until we could all be together.
