Are paystubs completely necessary??

Hi. I'm getting ready to submit my application. I have aquired over 2 years work experience under an accepted NOC. I have my 2012 NOA, T4, complete letters of reference fully dated with all required information, IELTS and PCC. I'm all set to go.
Is it necessary to provide paystubs also?

paystubs are not necessary, they are optional. They are useful for people who are paid on an hourly basis (vs. salary), or those who work variable hours.

If you are paid a salary, don't worry about them.

I am paid a salary, not by the hour, and this is reflected in my letter of reference. This process is stressful. Thanks for your reply!

I'm paid by the hour but my NOA shows a total income that if i divide by 52 it works out to average 35-40 hours a week. I also have been working for 21 months now, would it be ok just with the ref letter, t4 and noa? The application says nothing about paystubs.

I am also in the process of getting prepared to send out my application for CEC PR and I completely agree that it is a very stressful process. And, what JES_ON has recommended is right! But, what I have done it, I have already made sure that I have all my PAYSTUBS in perfect order in a case they want to see it at any time in the future.

On the document checklist, it is said that these documents (PAYSTUBS and CONTRACTS OF EMPLOYMENT) are only additional documents. If your letter of reference is perfectly in place then you do not need to send these additional documents.

The other time that paystubs are useful is if you're applying early in the year and don't have a T4 (yet) that covers the majority of your experience.

That depends on a few things. First, do you work the same hours every week? What does your letter of reference say in terms of hours worked? Do you work 20 hours one week, 60 hours another week, 0 another?

If your hours are fixed, then it may be OK, esp. with nearly 2 years of work. But you would have to be sure that the info in your letter of reference (hourly wage * Hours worked per week) is generally consistent with the T4....

My letter reference will be stated as full time employee (I guess 30 hours a week fulltime), my hours vary from 25-40 hours a week. Though over the past year I have been getting usually over 30 hours a week. I myself have been working for a period of 18 months as a baker.

I included my last paystub in my application to better support my current salary, as the notice of assessment would be from the last year's tax year (in my case, I was given a substantive raise towards the end of the previous year). As such, the paystub was there as proof of income for the salary after the NOA. It is of course optional, but in my case I thought it added value to my application.

submit my t4, noa together with 2013 paystubs to proof the 12 months from august 2012 to august 2013? Or

You should provide your most recent pay stub for 2013 which will outline your earnings for 2013 to date. No need to provide them all!

I am asking because I only had the 2011 NOA at the time of application, and I added the 2012 T4 and several pay stubs throughout my employment (including the latest month).

I did receive my AOR, was just curious if they will ask for the 2012 NOA at some point.

Nope, I did not send an updated NOA or was I requested to send one in.
