Hi Folks, I got through in a college, Remitted the fees to college & sent all the docs required to open a GIC account with Scotia bank on June 12th, Till now I haven't heard anything from Scotia Bank, I don't need a bank loan for Tuition & expenses As I already have more than CAD$25k with me in savings a/c, Im worried that since GIC isn't opened yet, how will I proceed further securing a study permit without GIC deposit

PS - I don't want to take a bank loan, As I already have enough funds

Plz suggest me a solution for this issue folks.

I have done pretty much research on the same & most of the student who got student visa has paid one year tuition fees + GIC 10,100 CAD $ and the required docs. That's about it however since you do not have GIC certificate yet, you should take education loan to be the safer side and to make your case stronger. Obviously you have 14Lakhs in Acc however, taking education loan will make ur case way stronger & legit. The VO will be surely convinced that you will return back to your home country.. 10+

Hi Guys,

I want to wire the GIC funds with a different account (Not the one I mentioned in Scotia Bank application form) since its been inactive fr some reason.

What is the procedure if i want to transfer the funds from a different account (My own bank account)? Do i need to update the bank details with the Scotia Bank or i just can proceed with the Wire transfer ?

Please Help.
