Are Distance education degrees recognised by any of the Education assessment bodies

Hello All,

I have a few questions that i need answered.

I need to know whether distance education degrees are recognised ? I have heard that WES doesnt recognise distance education degrees.

Also i have an advanced diploma in management accounting from CIMA, will the same add any points or help me qualify for the more than two certificates/diploma option.
