Are Citizenship questions only based on Discover Canada?

hi all

been doing multiple practice tests and one came up about the major political parties.

Discover Canada identifies 3 - Conservative, Liberal and NDP

Currently - Bloc Quebecois has more seats than NDP

So would this make 4 major parties or would it still be 3 and Bloc Quebecois replaces NDP?

Will questions in the exam be based on the discover canada guide or do they expect you to know this would have changed since the year published. - Quote from Discover Canada below:

"There are three major political parties currently represented in the House of Commons: the Conservative Party, the New Democratic Party, and the Liberal Party."

Also what questions should I prepare for regionally? Ottawa is my processing office, however I am currently out of Canada so hoping when I return tests are still online and I can do it from Toronto.

Cheers

I only read the Discover Canada booklet, there are a bunch of practice resources online but that book is all you are being tested on. Read it through completely and read the little notes around the sides of the pages too. Everything on the test is in the booklet

Do they ever ask the names of some MPs for your city? You get that in the online quizzes.
Well, we can't discuss actual questions, but the same test is given to people living in different boroughs of the same city, with différents MPs...
It's good to know who your MP is, but the chances for that making it to your test are infinitesimal.

As for OP : go with Discover Canada for everything. Including what could be seen as outdated.

Thanks everyone - I am not expecting anyone to provide exact questions on the test but for province specific is there a need to know "who is the mayor of Ottawa, Toronto"?

Has anyone taken test and had any questions that were not in discover canada?

One site mentioned that a famous question was "how old is the canadian shield" and that is not in discover Canada?

Cheers

Just read and pay attention to discover Canada and you will be fine. No hacks involved.
