Hi,
I have a concern here. A study permit application form asks me for my National Identity Document and its validity period. In my country, Indonesia, it is called E-KTP or electronic Resident Identification Card.
The thing is, my E-KTP has its expiry date and an updated government regulation enacted several years ago states that all E-KTPs have lifetime validity period, including those who were issued before the new regulation was formed and still have their validity period on them. I have contacted the visa office in my region and they told me to fill in only the issue date.
I have decided to explain this on my SOP. Also, I'll be applying online. Will CIC contact government officials in my country to clarify about the aforementioned regulation? I sincerely hope so.
