Are certain degrees rejected for the post graduate work permit?

I should be graduating with a history degree from a private institution authorized to "confer" degrees; do I stand a chance obtaining the post graduate work permit? Would I be wasting my time to apply? Thanks to anyone who could advise me.

Was your school included in the list here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp

If not, you are not eligible for a PGWP. If so, then you are.

I was wondering though about the site you linked because it said "off campus work permit list of participating institutions", not post graduate work permit. Does this make a difference, or how exactly does this work or would it apply to the post graduate work programme?

My school and programme are listed there but I was still wondering if this list was applicable to the PGWP. Thank you again PMM.
