I'll be doing a business administration diploma of 2 years in Canada. Top priority would be to gain PR but as a plan B. I'd like to get lateral admission into b.com degree in India from a good university. Can I do that? Also, since my diploma + degree would equal 4 years, will I be eligible for MBA in Canada cause Indian B.com isn't recognized there.

I do not think so as it is illegal in india hnceforth will be illegal. Canadian diploma's are not recognised in india and vice versa.

It won't be easy to convince Canadian guys that you were in Canada and you did your course in India ..They may consider it as a Distance Education Degree so I am not sure if its possible.

no no no guys you got it Wrong! I was saying after successfully completing my diploma in Canada, I'll try for PR but if it doesn't work then I'll come back to India. Here, I'd go into a university, lets say LPU, it has B.Com lateral entry meaning I can get into 2nd year of the degree if I have a diploma. I don't think I'm doing anything illegal here, am I? :o I only wanted to know if the universities here accept diplomas done in Canada.

Canadian education is under provincial jurdiction which provide quality analysis and check . Indian biz courses from mgmt institutes are typically approved by AICTE. Biz diploma from canada may or not be recognised unless you approach AICTE and ask their approval for further education. This is why always recommended doing bachelors from a univ in canada which is normally recognised world over.

i think canadian diploma's are not recognised in india. y don't u drop a mail to LPU stating u have done diploma from canada(state any clg & mrks), will u b admitted in LPU (lateral entry).... they will say themselves. ;D . just that b careful not to send the email from ur primary account.
