well keep us updated cause me and my wife are both Architects in Canada and we would love to work in our fields.
aha, same case as ours...so your point of view is coming first hand from your own experience there?
We are aware of the situation, that we cannot practice our profession right away, that we need further studies and Canadian work experience, and licensure board exams. From time to time we try to browse, ask queries from friends already landed there, most especially, looking for better place to start our life...so far Edmonton is the best...
Though we are still here in mideast, we try to acquire more knowledge that could enhance our skills...hope these efforts could bring us to a better position once we land in the coming months.
What we are doing so far, is gathering all the things that could help us practice our craft there. My husband-being the principal applicant, tries so hard to enroll in some short courses all about architecture, and the like. Since he spends most of his career time working in a private company..that would be his edge.
In my case, I came from a government office back home, spent my career time working in various offices...and that made me diversified...i think....
We don't wish for an immediate comfortable life as soon as we land, but we are praying hard that we don't have to take jobs way far from our field just to survive...for our children's sake, may the good Lord bless us more.
If it is fine with you, could i ask more queries?
