Hi, I've been recently approved for a work permit 2 years contract as a construction worker. Now my wife is Mexican who came to Canada after her dad applied for refugee status 3 years later they'd refuse their application, then they asked for an extra month, over immigration told them to leave. Afterward they've been from exclusion order to deportation order. All happened in 2008 ending 2011. Now in 2019 I send all the Papers, fees and an additional visitor Visa application to my wife, In Mexico city, by DHL, they receive the package but I never heard nothing from them. This is how works? How long does it takes to hear anything from them ? Is can be approved? We have 2 kids they already got their ETA approved and everything. Thanks for your help

Yes - this sounds normal. It can take a number of months for an ARC to be processed. Did you pay the ARC fee as well?

Yes, I did paid 400$ for ARC plus 185$ for Visa application. But its driving me nuts, no phone calls no email saying "we receive your application " or anything of the kind, nothing at all.

Hi, I am not sure if this is somewhat related to this topice. May I ask if ; I already received a decision on my restoration of work permit and unfortunately it has bee refused and asked me to leave Canada immediately. Does that mean that I am already on the removal? Is that already a departure order as well? pls help me. thanks in advance.

You are a person in Canada without temporary resident status who is not eligible for restoration under Section 182 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Given this, you must leave Canada immediately or face enforcement action as you are in non-compliance with A29(2) of IRPA. Consideration is being given to writing a report under paragraph 44 which could result in a removal order being issued against you. "

Can anyone tell please if ARC is approved and dont have departure certificate so can he or she be allowed to go canada without that?
