I dont understand but I think I need to do an ARC because the process is in the
website and one day I went to the Mexican Embassy and the situation is different

My mother and I needed the ARC and everything went smoothly. The VO asked us to pay the fee and advised us to write a brief letter explaining what happened. 2 months later, we got it.

Why did you need an ARC? I have a departure order form Canada and 12 months have passed since I left. Do I need one?

i believe u do need one if you were deported, i was asked to do this process and pay a fee, i would advise you to try to email them and ask them or else wait and hope u dont need one.

Generally about 2 Months, unless they need to ask for more documents.
We just had 2 or 3 ARC's finish in november through mexico city and all took exactly 2 months,
the other ones if ours and they had to ask for an RCMP there was a little mix up. so its taking a bit longer. but if they dont need to ask for anything, generally 2 months

Yeah one of my friends, his family was denied refugee about 8 years ago, and they still asked him for it aswell.

I sent ARC application last year on August 27, stilll waiting.

I 'm applying with wife and 2 kids as Quebec Selected Skilled Worker. It could be a reason for delay?

My ECAS still shows

We received your application for permanent residence on December 22, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 13, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

After you receive your granted ARC....is there any change on ECAS status????

Hi there!

I'm applying in Bogota, Colombia.
I lived in Canada back in 2006.
I was asked to pay the deportation fees and the ARC application fee.
I wrote out 2 checks along with a brief-explanation-letter and that was it.

This was done back in March 2012. It is almost a year after and I have not heard anything from them.

I just ordered my CAIPS notes and received them.
Everything seems fine but for some reason the last update done in my application was in September 2012, nothing since then.

That is my experience.
