ARC Rejected?

I want to know if anybody knows or has ever heard of an ARC that was rejected?
When VO requests the applicant to send a letter explaining why they should be allowed in Canada after being deported, and after paying fees, what are the chances of the ARC being denied?
Has anybody heard about a case like this or most of the ARC´s are granted?

It absolutely depends on the circumstances of why you were removed and what has changed so that the situation won't be repeated.

Yes. CIC are deliberately making them less routine. They are supposed to be permitted only with "compelling" justification. Just Google on the subject. One example = Sidhu v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration), 2010 FC 1055

So if you know what it is and what the process is, why do you not know that it's not just a rubber stamp? The world is full of stupid people that will start a process knowing that they don't meet the requirements to be approved, so absolutely there are ARC rejections.

Answer: yes, I have heard of an ARC that was rejected after the process was revised.

Answer: This absolutely depends on your specific circumstances. No one here would be able to accurately estimate your chances of success without yours details, and even then it's just a gut feeling guess.

Answer: Most ARC are granted, but it all depends on the situation.

I would have shared my specific case knowledge about a Cuban "friend" who was removed, if I'd known you'd wanted to hear the story. He was removed due to criminal charges, didn't complete his rehab before trying to come back to Canada before 10 years. He was rejected, because he'd not met the terms of approval going into it. I'm pretty sure this story is next to useless to you beyond what I had initially posted in that you'll be denied if you haven't fixed things. If you have improved things, then it's down to the specifics.

P.S. By "friend" it was my wife's half-brother's cousin's half-brother, which falls under the nebulous definition of "family" in Cuba.

VO received my request of ARC letter on tuesday may 5th, 2015 and I got PPR a moment ago today, friday may 8th, 2015.

Wow that was fast, you're lucky. We applied May 2014 and still haven't gotten a request for ARC..... It's good to know that once they request it it moves quickly.

My Arc got rejected today due to criminal charges in the USA more than ten years ago. This destryed me hearing this after waiting five years. Sadly they send the letter to my wife in canada

I seen 4 August. Decision made in ecas without A new medical request so I got suspicious right away . Funny the rejection letter dated 31 July 2015 and now received on September third. 2015 . Then the address and status line you click on to see your application info was not there. Now today I can no longer be found in ecas. These are my experience on this long depressing journey

Try to see the positive way of things.
Now you can plan some new objectives, a life change with your family, bring your spouse to your country (if s/he is not living with you already).

I guess its too late for an appeal process seeing that the letter came one month after ..
