I’ve been tracking the different AORs. This time last year, it took between 5–7 days; now it's taking over 28 days. I’m curious whether the time to receive a test invite has decreased or stayed the same. The bottlenecks seem to shift from month to month

Hey there, sorry I'm seeing this so late! It is a cool experience to come back here and see folks I recognize from the PR threads now submitting for citizenship too!

As for your question: I still had a valid PGWP while my PR was processing. My physical processing breakdown was:
- International student: 57 days
- Temporary resident permit holder: 970 days
- PR: 799 days (minus some vacations)

I don't know if that helps but hope so!
Thanks! What I was a bit unsure about is how to count the days after I’ve applied for PGWP and waiting for PGWP approval.
At the time, my study permit was still valid, and I applied for PGWP shortly after school is done, but I wasn’t sure if I should count the time when they were processing PGWP as student (I wasn’t a student anymore and technically study permit isn’t valid once I finish school) or temporary worker (I didn’t have PGWP in hand yet during this time). So wondering how you counted it

Guys, what is the next step after AOR? And how long may it take? I am hoping to get my AOR after 2 weeks..
- Create tracker account in couple of days after receiving AOR.
- You should start studying for citizenship test now. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ate/publications-manuals/discover-canada.html

And remaining parts are not in your control. So, you will do anything additional if IRCC request you like biometric, if they don't, you are good with remaining parts.

The webiste says they’re sending AOR’s for the week of March 31st submission, however ive been seeing those who submitted even after Apr 15th have AORs already :(

I believe that can be expected when IRCC is usually so random in sending AORs. Hopefully we get the AORs soon enough!

I agree. On a rational note, I understand how the system is like that as always, but sometimes I can’t helped to feel a bit upset. But, patience is virtue. In no time we’ll get ours too.

Update: I got my AOR today.
However it has my maiden name instead of married name on the application. I filled out the section to the application and put my married name attaching my marriage certificate.
Will I be able to change it? Or should I just leave it like that and just change it once I have my citizenship certificate?
